What You Can Build With Excel Forms

Data Collection

Collect field data, survey responses, order details, or feedback — directly into your Excel workbook. No more email attachments.

Data Entry Forms

Let team members input data without seeing the full spreadsheet. They fill in a form, Excel does the calculations in the background.

Client-Facing Forms

Quote requests, applications, onboarding forms — branded with your logo and embedded on your website. Professional and secure.

Database Entry

Add records to your Excel database via a web form. Search, filter, and manage data — all powered by your existing Excel table.

How to Create a Form From Excel

Four steps. No coding. Your formulas stay intact.

1

Open your Excel workbook

Sign in to Airrange and open your .xlsx file. Works with local files and Microsoft 365. Nothing gets uploaded — everything runs in your browser.

2

Drag & drop form fields

Select which cells become input fields (text, dropdown, slider, checkbox) and which cells show calculated results. Link each field to a cell in your spreadsheet.

3

Customize the design

Add your logo, labels, rich text descriptions, and validation rules. Arrange fields across multiple pages with navigation buttons.

4

Publish & share

Click publish. Share via link, embed on your website, or add to Microsoft Teams. Anyone can fill in the form — on any device, no Excel needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I create a form from an existing Excel file?

Yes. Open your .xlsx file in Airrange, select the cells you want as form fields, and publish. All your existing formulas continue working.

Do users need Excel to fill in the form?

No. The form is a web application accessible via any browser — desktop, tablet, or mobile. Users never see or need Excel.

Can I embed the form on my website?

Yes. Every Airrange form can be embedded on any website via an iframe embed code. The form is fully responsive.

Can the form show calculated results?

Yes. Unlike Microsoft Forms, Airrange forms can display calculated results in real-time. As users fill in fields, your Excel formulas run and show the output — perfect for calculators, quotes, and pricing tools.

Is the data stored securely?

Your Excel file never leaves your device. Airrange processes everything locally in your browser. Shared forms use encrypted runtime packages stored on EU servers (AWS Frankfurt). Fully GDPR-compliant.

How is this different from Microsoft Forms?

Microsoft Forms is a standalone form tool — it doesn't use your Excel formulas. Airrange forms ARE your Excel file with a web interface on top. Your formulas, charts, and logic stay active. Users fill in the form, Excel calculates the results.

What does it cost?

Airrange has a free plan with up to 25 form elements. Paid plans start at €19/month (Lite) for 50 elements. See pricing →
